Six Capital Appoints Chris Van Der Kuyl to its Global Advisory Board

Six Capital has appointed Chris van der Kuyl as a member of its Global Advisory Board on 12 January 2016.

Mr. Van der Kuyl is an entrepreneur whose expertise combines the start-up, development, and management in the technology, media, and entertainment sectors. He is the founder, owner, and chairman of 4J Studios, one of the UK's most successful videogame developers, which is responsible for the console editions of Minecraft. These editions have garnered several awards and sold more than 27 million copies, helping Minecraft become a global phenomenon that is currently on track to become the most successful videogame of all time.

In addition to his business activities, Mr. Van der Kuyl is a visiting professor of digital entertainment at University of Abertay Dundee and has been awarded honorary doctorates from the University of Dundee and Edinburgh Napier University. Elected as one of the youngest Fellows of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Chris also sits on the boards of TV Squared, Brightsolid Online Technology, Scottish Institute for Enterprise, Dundee Science Centre, and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

Mr. Van der Kuyl is also the founding chairman of Entrepreneurial Scotland (ES) which represents all of Scotland's entrepreneurial talent and has the purpose of inspiring, connecting, and developing entrepreneurial behaviour across all Scottish industries.

Mr. Van der Kuyl's appointment to the Six Capital Advisory Board adds to an existing group of distinguished executives, who provide strategic counsel, worldwide networks, and contacts to support the company's growth. The Advisory Board also enhances Six Capital's capacity to access new opportunities and attract world-class resources.
